Laboratory trials were conducted to evaluate the potential herbicidal activity of the metabolites produced by T.Iongibrachiatum (TR673), T.harzianum (TR319), T.viride (Tr347), T.koningii (Tr324) and T.asperellum (Tr85) for suppressing Portulaca oleracea, a dicotyledonous weed in the rice fields. The liquid metabolites were prepared by incubating the strains of TR673, TR319, Tr347, Tr324, Tr85 in flasks (500 ml) with 200 ml potato dextrose broth (PDB) or 200 ml PDB + 0.4% sodium glutamate in a shaking incubator at 28℃ and 200r/min for 6 days.
