The NASA Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) rover, Curiosity, whose main goal was to determine the habitability of the Martian environment, was launched on November 26, 2011 and successfully landed at the Gale Crater on Mars on August 6, 2012.The design and execution of the Trajectory Correction Maneuver (TCM) during the interplanetary phase have been documented in a previous paper (Wong et al., 2012).In this paper we will address trajectory and maneuver analyses in the prelaunch design.
