A price of rhenium which is used at high technology industries such as aerospace industry and oil industry has constantly increased for last several years because of increasing demand.We investigated molybdenite roasting dust containing rhenium as a by-product to match the demand.This study describes leaching behavior of rhenium from the molybdenite roasting dust by NaOH leaching.The effects of concentration of NaOH,reaction temperature and leaching time for extraction of rhenium were examined.This experiment showed that the leaching efficiency of rhenium was 88.9% at following conditions: 4M NaOH, reaction temperature 80℃, leaching time 6h, solid/liquid ratio 50g/500ml, agitation speed 250rpm.
