  Researchers have extensively studied and applied the solvent extraction in the separation of rare earth due to its high efficiency,large capacity,good separation,and low reagent consumption [1].The study on the novel extractants is one of most important parts in the development of extraction technology.In the recent years,amides have been considered to be the promising extractants that maybe take place of phosphorus-containing extractants [2].The relationship between amides structure and extraction property has been extensively studied due to its large potential for extraction off-metal elements from nitric acid solutions in the fuel reprocessing [3].However,the extraction of rare earth from chloric acid medium has been little reported.In this work,the extraction of rare earth elements with N,N,N,N-tetrabutyl-3-oxy-glutaramide (TBDGA) were investigated.
