Objective In contrast to antipsychotic-induced extrapyramidal side effects,the data are still limited on add-on medications to counteract antipsychotic-induced metabolic side effects in the treatment of schizophrenia.We therefore carried out a systematic review and meta-analysis to synthesize the evidence on the management of metabolic adverse effects using concomitant drugs.
