Catecholamines play an important role in carbohydrate and fat control, cardiovascular system regulation, blood coagulation, and the regulation of the acute adaptive reactions of the body.Among these compounds, adrenaline (A),noradrenaline (NA),and dopamine (DA) are of the greatest biological importance and the analytical determination of individual catecholamines rather than their total amount is of utmost importance. The catecholamine content of biological fluids is at a level of nanoand picograms;therefore, highly sensitive and selective methods are required for their determination.
