A freestanding solid polymer electrolyte mechanically enhanced by single ion conductor matrix was proposed.Firstly,the single ion conductor (SIC) consisting of poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-chlorotrifluoroethylene) backbone and lithium ions exchanged poly(styrene sulfonic acid) (PSSA) side chains,(P(VDF-co-CTFE)-SPS(Li》,was synthesized using atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP).Then,the prepared P(VDF-co-CTFE)-SPS(Li) was mixed with PEO-LiC104 to obtain solid polymer electrolyte.The ionic conductivity result showed that the ionic conductivity of the solid polymer electrolyte was 5.25xl0-6 S cm.l,indicating it can be used as potential polymer electrolyte for lithium-ion batteries.
