The studies on image and word went hand in hand with the development and transformation of humanistic disciplines.In this perspective, the study/analysis of the artwork needs to be faced also in closer affinity to other branches of knowledge concerning the artistic matter such as, for instance, the history of man and his environment, the history of images, the social history, the history of techniques and the sciences history and its influences in figurative fields.
