Using hydrogen(H2)as a fuel gains extensive attentions because of global energy crisis and environmental issues.Hydrogen produced from electrolysis of water or solar-driven water-splitting is in particular important because it is a clean fuel with high energy storage density and storage times.Effective electrocatalyst for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is essential for electrolysis or photoelectrolysis of water.However,the widely used and high performance HER electrocatalyst are expensive and earth rare metal(e.g.Pt).Consequently,the practical application of such catalyst in photocathode is limited.
