Stainless steel fibers (SSFs),carbon nanotubes (CNTs) andpolyamide-6 (PA6) were mixed in a plastic refining machine and then injected into a mold to form plates.Structural,electrical and dielectric properties of PA6/SSFs /CNTs composites were investigated in the present work.X-ray measurement was performed using a D8 Advance (Bruker AXS) based diffractometer.X-ray diffraction pattern of pure PA6 and PA6/SSFs/CNTs composites have been obtained,respectively,and the average crystallite sizesof composites were determined.The crystallinity of the composites will decrease with the increasing SSFs.The morphology of composites was examined by Hitachi S-4800 field emission SEM.The figures shows that SSFs and CNTs are uniformly distributed throughout the matrix.SSFs are widely separated and well isolated from each other when the mass fraction is below 8.0%.While the fibers will form a compact morphology in the matrix when the mass fraction of SSFs is above 10.0%,as a result,it is easy to form conducting networks,which will facilitate the electron transfer and contribute to the electric conductivity.
