Ovotransferrin(OVT) is one of the major allergens in egg allergy.Isolation and purification of egg OVT is useful to understand its mechanism in egg allergy.A few methods for the purification of egg OVT are available in the previous works,but it is still not convenient because of some limitations.Here,a single-step anion-exchange chromatographic procedure for the preparation of egg OVT on DEAE sepharose Fast Flow is described.Ten-day-old red eggshell hen eggs were chosen for this experiment.
