Multimodal imaging-guided cancer therapy dramatically advances the new field of cancer theranostics.Nevertheless,so far smart theranostic agents have been explored with limited success for multimodal imaging-guided tumor ablation.Herein,we report smart cyanine-grafted gadolinium oxide nanocrystals(Cy-GdNCs)as cancer-targeted nanocomposites through albumin-based biomineralization strategy for trimodal near-infrared fluorescence/photoacoustics/magnetic resonance imaging and pH-responsive photothermal tumor ablation.[1-2]The nanocomposites exhibit remarkable trimodal imaging features with high imaging sensitivity, precise anatomical localization, and enhanced spatial resolution for comprehensive tumor detection and treatment guidance.
