Recently,mono-and few-layered of transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)have received significant attention because some of them are semiconductors with sizable bandgaps and are naturally abundant.Two-dimensional(2D)atomically thick materials,graphene and graphene-like layered TMDs have showed vast potential as novel energy materials due to their unique physicochemical properties.Mono-and few-layered TMDs obtained either through exfoliation of bulk materials,such as liquid exfoliation and mechanical exfoliation,or bottom up syntheses are direct-gap semiconductors,whose bandgap energy varies between compounds depending on their composition,structure and dimensionality,while bulk TMDs are indirect-gap semiconductors.In this article,few-layered MoS2 nanosheets are successfully prepared by liquid exfoliation in a mixture of ethanol and water solution.Before liquid exfoliation,MoS2 is existed as MoS2 microspheres prepared by hydrothermal method.SEM images indicate the MoS2 microspheres are consisted of nanosheets with the thickness nearly 30nm.TEM images show that the as prepared MoS2 microspheres have good crystallinity with the interlayer space 0.67nm and the few-layered MoS2 nanosheets are stably existed in the mixture of ethanol and water solution.
