Quantifying the volumes of water that are transferred from soil evaporation and vegetation transpiration into the atmosphere is important for water rights management,water resources planning,and water regulation in arid and semi-arid area.Based on the concept of energy balance and the approaches of Surface Energy Balance Algorithm for Land(SEBAL)and Mapping Evapotranspiration at high Resolution with Internalized Calibration(METRIC),we estimated the latent energy and evapotranspiration with the data from satellite Landsat and eddy flux tower measurements in a boreal region.
