  Intertidal zone is the most ecological value and biodiversity district.However,with the rapid development of economy and population growth,intertidal zone loss significantly due to large-scale coastal reclamation which has threaten to the ecosystem.Eelgrass a common plant in intertidal zone,as the main primary productivity in near-coast waters,offers a variety of plants and animals habitat structure that is essential for maintaining the whole near sea ecosystem.On the one hand,it can reduce flooding and wave,stable bottom and stimulate the flow of nutrients;on the other hand,it is a key indicator organism of environ mental health in the interface of land-sea.But in recent decades,land reclamation activity has led to eelgrass grass bed shrinking rapidly,directly contributed to the instability and vulnerability of intertidal ecosystem.It is critical to study the land reclamation project how to affect eelgrass habitat.
