  With the technology improvement and price erosion,LED was expected to be widely adopted in all general lighting application including outdoor,residential,office and shop lighting.Shop lighting usually has higher requirement on light quality,including color quality and beam shaping.How to achieve high efficacy while maintaining a good color rendering is one of the challenges.In spot-lights,the beam shape should fit the illuminated objects.Tight beam angle is a special challenge for LED solutions in shop lighting.In this article it will be shown what is necessary to solve these issues and what solutions can already be delivered by LED manufacturers.
