The study of tritium treatment techniques is most commonly concerned with tritiated air decontamination.The usual method employed for atmospheric detritiation is the catalytic oxidation of tritium to tritiated water,which can then be recycled.The catalyst employed is the key factor in this technique.In order to be applicable to emergency tritiated air decontamination and avoid high energy consumption,the catalyst must be usable at room temperature without being poisoned by water vapor.Furthermore,the catalyst should have good thermal stability so that it may be used at high temperatures as well.
