This paper is focused on how to help landless farmers to adapt to city life by resettlement community design.The survey included five resettlement communities in Tianjin,and the correlation analysis shows the design of resettlement community greatly affects the environment adaptability of the landless farmers after the relocation.Given the landless peasants are in a special transformation stage,from traditional farmers to a townspeople,the living environment should also have appropriate transitional nature.Designing transitional resettlement communities with features of both village and urban,and helping the landless peasants to live in a familiar environment,are beneficial to their mental stability.And theycould avoid "destructive enthusiasm".Combined with the green system,community centers,street,expanded balcony,patio,and roof,community supported agriculture would facilitate the transition from landless peasants to urban residents.It can help them preserve the landscape of villages,promote conversation between residents,and continue their living and work habits.
