Amphiphilically modified chitosan, N-octyl-N, O-carboxymethyl chitosan (OCC), exhibited good water solubility under neutral conditions and excellent loading capacities for various lipophilie drugs as previous reported.The present study is focused on the influence of molecular weight of chitosan backbone and substitution degree (DS) of alkyl chains on the formation,internal structure, biodistribution and toxicity of micelles.
