This paper examines the phenomenon of frequent Japanese passive sentences in the mutual translation of Chinese and Japanese and seeks to explore its essence. The specific research method is to extract samples from the corpus of Chinese-Japanese translation and to observe the phenomenon itself by observing the corresponding / non-correspondence of the passive sentences in the Chinese and Japanese. On the basis of objective phenomena, guided by grammatical theory, the conclusion is drawn that the degree of semantic expansion of Japanese passive sentences is higher than that of Chinese passive sentences. In addition to passive sentences, this linguistic form and semantic mismatch prevail. In the act of translating, we must regard the theory as the guidance, closely connect the rules of grammar, and make sure to approach the expression and thinking habits of the readers of the translation.
