CAD model with consistent topology is a fundamental precondition in many fields.Currently,on-uniform rational B-spline(NURBS)is a standard method for free-form curves and surfaces sculpting in commercial modeling software.However,as we known,NURBS has some disadvantages such as its control points must lie topologically in a rectangular grid and using trimming operator for the purpose of exact expression of the complex objects cause a problem that there will be a gap between two trimmed NURBS surfaces when we put them back together.This problem is not new.But it has puzzled CAD for over twenty years.Besides,due to the reason such as the different tolerance of modeling system after the model data transmission,there also may be some geometry noises.
