Background: Globally low back pain cause disability and economical effect.The biopsychosocial model is the prevailing framework that used to understand and managing LBP treatment.Many studies suggest that biology,psychological,socio economic,environment and culture factors are contribute to incident and persistence of low back pain(LBP).Method: This is cross sectional study with samples from Malang population and use multistage random sampling.The total population(n: 2067)and LBP(n:262).Chi Square describes factors that associated with LBP.Adjusted odds ratios and 95%confidence intervals were estimated by using logistic regression Result: Bivariate analysis show that male sex,low educational,smoking,heavy job,marital status,high age are associate with LBP(p: < 0,05 age); BMI(p: 0,115).Multivariable logistic regression show highest adjusted odds ratio is marital status(OR: 2,456 95%CI: 1,689-3,574).Disability in LBP are associate with education level,job,activity(p: <0,05).Pain in other region had significant association with LBP(P: <0,05).Male sex and married person as risk factor of LBP because they have heavier job.The association between smoking and LBP may be explained physic social problem(depression,low economic status,low educational status,heavy job).Educational status,job and physical activity may play a role in disability of LBP.Conclusion: Marital status is important risk factor for LBP.These results can be used as a basis to educated married people to improve regular physical exercise,decrease body weight to decrease risk of LBP.
