The study on Raman and Photoluminescence spectra of Y2O3/Eu3+and Y2O3/Eu3+/Mg2+nanorods was carried out under high pressure.The amorphous transition occurs from initial cubic phase at higher than 24GPa for Y2O3/Eu3+and Y2O3/Eu3+/Mg2+nanorods.Y2O3/Eu3+and Y2O3/Eu3+/Mg2+nanorods exhibits distinct distorted states after 8GPa.Analysis of intensity ratios I0-2/I0-1 of 5D0–7F2 to 5D0–7F1 and I0–2A/B of 5D0–7F2 transition indicate Y2O3/Eu3+/Mg2+nanorods shows stronger local micro-surrounding characters for Eu3+ion in pressure modulated crystal field.
