This international trade practical teaching plan is innovated in five aspects: In teaching concepts, the plan is student-oriented (STOT); it breaks the restrains of time, place and facilities; it integrates activities of lecturing, situational transactions, group seminars, presentations, video reviews and case analysis in one course. In talent cultivation, the Simulated Canton Fair situation effects practical teaching of the whole process of import & export; it cultivates students capabilities of three layers: basic capability of language & communication, professional capability, and comprehensive capability of international business management. In teaching methods, the plan applies behavior-oriented teaching method (Handlungsorientierte Method), situational teaching method and Simulated company teaching method to achieve learning by doing; it highly motivates students to achieve autonomic learning and independent thinking. In teaching and learning patterns, students are free to choose their roles in business according to their own capabilities; it triggers them to think about their career planning; students are bound to work with other members in a group and a group with other groups; it builds up professional attitudes of teamwork, responsibility, leadership, planning and management. In environment requirements, the plan enables colleges with only limited resources to carry out practical teaching. After 5-year empirical test, we find this plan flexible, feasible and effective which can be applied to intemational trade practical teaching for economics and trade majors in other colleges.
