RNAi技术已广泛应用于基因功能研究并有望逐步走向临床.随着对非编码RNA研究的深入发现,ncRNA不仅可通过RNAi致基因沉默,也能使某些基因表达上调,即RNAa.自2006年Li等在应用靶向E-cadherin基因启动子区dsRNA(dsEcad-302,dsEcad-215)转染前列腺癌PC-3和DU-145细胞株发现使靶基因表达值明显上调以来,诞生了小RNA激活技术,此类小RNA分子被称之为saRNA.
