Urogenital dysfunction after rectal and pelvic surgery was significantly decreased with the introduction of nerve-preserving dissection and total mesorectal excision (TME).However, there is little report about the accurate border of mesorectum, as well as the specific anatomical structures of nerves and lymph nodes around the mesorectum, focused on Chinese people.
