Let G be a simple graph of order n and μ1,μ2,… ,μn the roots of its matching polynomial.The matching energy of G is defined as the sum Σn i=1 |μi|.In this talk, we characterize the graph having maximum matching energy among all connected graphs with order n and edge connectivity k.We also show the extremal graph with matching energy in all bicyclic graphs.Moreover, the graph having the minimal matching energy is determined in (n, m)-graphs, where n + 2 ≤ m ≤ 2(n-2).This is a joint work with Xueliang Li, Hongping Ma and Yongtang Shi.
