Drug response is associated with interindividual and intraindividual variabilities.If intraindividual variability is mainly related to environment and pathology, interindividual variability is related to genetic origin.Pharmacogenetics,which is the study of genetic variation on individuals response to drugs by the analysis of single nucleotide polymorphism, moved on pharmacogenomics concept involving the broad analyses of the entire genome thanks to new technologies of molecular biology like DNA chips.
