Alzheimer s Disease (AD) is a kind of neurodegenerative diseases.The characteristic pathological features of AD are senile plaques, neurofibrillary tangles, the loss of neurons and granulovacuolar degeneration.Though the mechanism of AD is very complicated, the metal homeostasis regulater by amyloid beta, amyloid precursor protein and metallothionein-Ⅲ is associated with the AD.The aberrant of metal homeostasis is one of the reasons that induced AD.Herein the transitional metal homeostasis of copper, zinc and iron, regulated by related protein amyloid beta, amyloid precursor protein, and metallothionein-Ⅲ will be describer and discussed.
