DNA fingerprinting technologies provide powerful DNA markers,which can facilitate various programs in plant biology,genetics,breeding,genomics,forensics and biotechnology,as well as conservation,restoration and sustainable management of plant genetic resources.Various DNA fingerprinting technologies and DNA marker systems have been developed and applied in plants.My lab has developed a variety of DNA markers and used them in research on genetics,genomics,breeding,biotechnology,conservation,restoration and sustainable management of forest trees.I will provide an overview of various DNA marker systems and technologies commonly used in plants.
