A variety of clinical infection, in order to facilitate the processing, were classified with many methods, such as acute and chronic infection, surgical and non-surgical infection, primary and secondary infection, mild infection and severe infection, infection of drug-resistant bacteria and non drug-resistant bacteria infection, infection in immunopatent and immunocompromised patients, nosocomial infection and community-acquired infection;these methods focused on one major concern of infection, such as host, pathogen, infection site and disease severity, but the management of infections, physicians must take into consideration various factors and develop a suitable therapeutic strategies, to obtain the best treatment effect.
