Using the numerical solution of the time-dependent Schr(o)dinger equation and the strong-field approximation for laser-induced ionization, we investigate the lateral width of the electron momentum distribution for atoms and molecules.The potential of this observable for imaging of aligned molecules is demonstrated Furthermore, we provide a theory of the photoelectron circular dichroism for ionization of chiral molecules in the strong-field regime.Finally, the dependence of the ionization probability on the sense of electric field rotation is investigated numerically for atoms.
