Spin-crossover complexes have been attracting great attention due to their bistable electronic structures and therefore potential applications as molecule-based devices.1 In the present work,a SC complex,[Fe(tpa)](NCS)2] (1),was firstly found to crystallize into phase Ⅰ crystals with one SC center that shows one-step incomplete SC transition, which were unexpectedly transferred into new crystals,[Fe(tpa)](NCS)2]2·MeOH (2·MeOH),with two different SC centers by exposure in methanol vapor that display two-step complete SC transition.
