Proteomics has recently promised delivery of more comprehensive membrane proteome coverage.Our recent shotgun proteomics studies on the colorectal cancer cell line (HCT116 wild type and urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR) antisense subclone) are presented in the context of attempts to understand membrane proteome changes associated with the invasive/metastatic phenotype.
