  Particles produced by secondary processes may play an important role in climate variability.Condensation Particle Counters (CPC) with different cut-off diameters (TSI CPC model 3025 (and 3776): D > 3nm and 3010 (and 3772): D > 10 nm) and an Optical Particle Counter (OPC,Grimm model 1.108) were deployed at the King Sejong station (KSJ,62.22 o S,58.78 o W) to measure total particle number concentration and size distributions during austral summer seasons ((i) 6 Dec.2005 - 7 Jan.2006,and (ii) 22 Dec.2006 – 8 Jan 2007).An Aethelometer has been installed at the KSJ to monitor anthropogenic black carbon since 22 December 2006.Time resolution of the CPC measurements was set as 1 second to detect nano-meter size particle formation.The OPC measured particle number size distribution for 32 channels ranging from 0.3 μm to 20 μm with a time resolution of 5 minutes.Meteorological data,such as solar irradiance,air temperature,wind speeds and direction,atmospheric pressure,were obtained from the KSJ meteorological observation tower.
