Light sensing systems are becoming an increasingly important part of emerging Smart Lighting platforms.As SSL lighting systems evolve beyond simple phosphor converted LED lighting technology to more complex systems that integrate color tunability and wireless communications capabilities (among other new features and services),the role of distributed light sensor networks will become increasingly important for enabling lighting systems to sense their environment in order to provide appropriate illumination at minimum energy cost.
