Tree-ring width chronology was established by using core samples of Sabina przewalskii taken from eastern part of Qilian Mountain.Correlation analysis shows the precipitation in late spring and early summer play an important role in radial growth of Qilian Juniper.The simulation of the growth of the tree by V-S model shows that the precipitation of May and June is the main limiting factors for the growth of the tree in the study area.
