The spotted scat Scatophagus argus,as a new resource of maricluture,is becoming popularized in South China.For this fish,females grow much faster than males,and after a cultivation period of one year and a half,females can reach weights of 1 to 1.5 pound,but for males,most below 0.6 pound.
