Organic battery materials are regarded as a potential solution for sustainable and green energy storage development.Redox active polymers in particular offer many technological and practical advantages but still require eco-friendlier synthesis and processing routes with further improved electrochemical performances. In this talk the recently developed solvent-less synthesis route of TEMPO-methacrylates with also net superior energy and power metrics will be first highlighted.Hybrid formulations will be next discussed with a main emphasis on mixed organic-inorganic batteries and Li-lon capacitive systems.
