Objective:To study the pathological characteristics of cervical spinal fracture in AS,and dicuss surgical effect by anterior combined posterior method.Methods:18 AS patients with ankylosed and deformed neck suffered from traumatic cervical fracture-dislocation were treated in our hospital from January 2000 to January,2006.The case history of AS had 14.5 years in average,trauma in 17 patients,and osteotomy had been performed in 3 cases.18 cases had neurological deficits.All patients underwent surgical procedures by anterior combined posterior approach.According to the condition of reduction,Surgical procedures including:Anterior posterior,anterior posterior anterior and posterior anterior approach.
