Background: Intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) are a class of proteins with flexible structure. In most cases, IDPs carry important functions by binding with other molecules. Many sequences analysis works have demonstrated that amino acids usage is different between disordered regions and ordered regions. While all of the current algorithms protein binding sites predictions do not take the phenomenon of IDPs into account. Then, we predict the IDPs-DNA and RNA binding sites based on several representative protein-nucleic acids binding sites prediction programs. On this basis, the sequence and structure features of IDPs are analyzed.
