Electroencephalography(EEG)emerged in the second decade of the 20th century as a technique for recording the neurophysiological response.Conventional wet electrodes are commonly used to measure EEG signals; however, they require a series of skin preparation and conduction gels to reduce the skin–electrode contact impedance, which usually create trouble for users.Typical dry electrode is array of silicon micro needles based on MEMS technology, which may induce skin damage and discomfortableness. To overcome these drawbacks, a novel dry-contact electrode was proposed for long-term EEG measurement without using conductive gel or any skin preparation in this study.
