Recent advances in nanotechnology have given rise to a new class of fluorescent labels,metal nanoclusters(NCs),e.g.,Au and Ag.Metallic nanoclusters composed of only a few atoms possess strong,robust,size-dependent fluorescence.These NCs are not only much smaller in size but also exhibit good photophysical properties,making them attractive fluorophores for many applications [1].
