Background:With the successfully inoculation of hepatitis B vaccine in the newborns,HBsAg carrier rate have significantly decreased during the past ten years in China.However,little is known about the prevalence profile of HBV infection in the local area of Shenyang,the capital city of Liaoning province in northeast China.In this study,we investigated the prevalence profile of HBV infection in Shenyang in the past 10 years,to evaluated the effectiveness of HB vaccination on the prevalence profile of HBV infection.
