The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) Steam Generator Management Program (SGMP)provides an opportunity for nuclear utility members to learn about worldwide steam generator (SG) operating experience.EPRI SGMP facilitates the sharing of SG information through technical meetings with members,posting of operating experience on the EPRI website and by maintaining a SG degradation database that contains information on SG operating experience for all member utilities.This paper provides an overview of SG operating experience from 1973 to present.The performance of various SG tubing materials over time will be reviewed,including historical trends of both corrosion and mechanical degradation.SG tube degradation mechanisms, as a function of tube location, will also be summarized.
