Objective: To discuss the use of mandarin hearing in noise test in the assessment of hearing-related cognitive function.Methodology: We studied 99 older adults aged from 55 to 91 years old in the hearing clinic of Xinhua Hospital who had audiometric test, mandarin hearing in noise test (MHINT) and mini-mental state examination (MMSE).The pure-tone average (PTA) of hearing thresholds, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of MHINT and MMSE score were analyzed by SPSS 17.0.
