Synthesis and structures of two new polynuclear manganese clusters based on mixed-ligands

  Two new polynuclear manganese clusters with mixed ligands,[Mn12Ⅲ(μ4-O)4(μ2-O)(μ2-OCH3)(edte)4(deo)4](ClO4)·xH2O(1)(H4edte = N,N,N,N-tetrakis(2-hydroxyethyl)ethylenediamine; H2deo = diphenylethanedione dioxime)and [Mn4ⅡMn3Ⅳ(teaH)3(tea)(thmeH)3(thme)](ClO4)2·3MeCN(2)(H3tea = triethanolamine; H3thme = 1,1,1-Trimethanolethane),have been synthesized.X-ray diffraction crystal structure analysis shows that the complex 1 crystallizes in triclinic system,space group Pī with a = 1.910 nm,b = 1.947 nm,c = 2.066 nm,α = 90.843°,β = 114.587°,γ = 100.870°,V = 6.631 nm3,Z = 3.The complex 2 crystallizes in tetrahedron system,space group I41/acd with a = b = 1.587 nm,c = 4.882 nm,α = β = 90°,γ = 120°,V = 10.653 nm3,Z = 6.Complex 1 was formed by the reaction of mixed N/O donors of H2deo and H4edte.
