　　OBJECTIVE A novel triarylmethane reversible thermochromic colorant was prepared using bromcresol purple to be cheaper to produce and obtain a brighter colour.The effects of monomer mass ratios,developer and solvent and synthesis conditions on thermochromics properties were investigated.
