  Nanopolyhedral-built porous MgO hollow spheres were successfully prepared by a hydrothermal method followed by annealing process.The precursor [Mg3O(CO3)2] was produced by hydrothermal treatment of a solution containing MgCl2, Urea and trisodium citrate.
