Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx with NH3 is the most common technique to remove NOx in the exhaust gas from stationary sources, such as coal fired power plants. The most widely used V2O5-WO3 (MoO3)/TiO2 catalyst is active within a narrow temperature window of 300-400℃.Consequently, it is necessary to locate the SCR unit upstream of the desulfurizer and electrostatic precipitator.
